Belmont Dress Code

As members of the BMGA and Belmont proper, members and their guests are required to respect the Club’s dress code requirements and maintain a level of dress commensurate with a private golf club. Proper golf course attire shall be considered the minimum standard of dress, except where noted, while in the clubhouse or on the golf course and driving range.
Members are responsible for ensuring that their guests are in full compliance with the Clubs dress code requirements. To assist with the interpretation of the dress code, members and guests are required to observe the following minimum requirements or contact the Club Management or Professional Staff for guidance.
Golf Course: Proper golf attire is mandatory for anyone utilizing the golf course, driving range, or practice greens. Those not appropriately dressed will be asked to change or refrain from using the facilities. Here are some key points:
Men: Acceptable attire includes shirts with golf collars and sleeves, long-sleeved mock turtlenecks, slacks, or golf shorts. All golf shirts must be tucked into slacks or shorts unless specified by the manufacturer (i.e., Tommy Bahama style).
Specific to Men:
The following items are Not Permitted in the Clubhouse:
Prohibited items include tank tops, tee shirts, fishnet tops, cutoffs, sweatpants, warm-up suits, bathing suits, short shorts, cargo shorts, or other athletic shorts.
• Exercise or fitness clothing, sweat or yoga pants, tee-shirts or tank tops
• Tennis shorts, short shorts, cut offs or pool wear will not be worn unless you are using the Pool.
• Clothing with offensive logo’s, emblems, slogans, team jerseys, camouflage
• Worn out, torn or stained clothing, not permitted.
• Hat, caps and visors are not permitted in the clubhouse or Lees Tavern
• Hooded sweatshirts (e.g. team type, unless specific to an event).
• Denim will not be permitted if it has holes or if they are ripped, distressed, whitewashed or frayed.
